The UK Lottery

In October 1993, the National Lottery Act was passed, allowing a UK lottery to be established. Just over a year later, on 19 November 1994, the very first National Lottery Draw was held, with seven lucky players sharing the jackpot of £5,874,778.

Since then a whole range of other games have been established, and over 2,000 millionaires have been created.

In this section, we look at the many different lottery games you can play, your chances of winning, tips on maximising your jackpot success, and, if you're lucky enough to be a winner, how to claim your prize.
